Desktop Publishing had one major assignment that had to be handed in at the end of the semester and worked on in class as well as a presentation. It involved the following parts
Flyer
Letterhead
With Compliments slip
Postcard
Envelope
Business Card
Fax Cover
Newspaper Ad
Brochure
Multi page booklet
Presentation
I really enjoyed completing the work for this class, not only was I able to enhance my computer skills, I was able to create something and use my imagination. Unfortunately I am not a very creative person, and I usually prefer to colour between the lines, so this lost marks on my assignment because of this let down.
I also had some problems in finishing the work as I did not have the necessary software (Microsoft Publisher) on my laptop, thus forcing me to create all of my assignments at uni. I found that the text books were unnecessary, if I paid attention in class and made sure to go over the lecture slides I did not even need to look at the text books.
This was a great course to do for anyone who wanted to expand on their Microsoft Publisher skills. I am not sure when I may be needing to use Publisher again, but it is nice to know that when I do, I will not have to worry about learning how to use it.
I received a CREDIT for this course.
Welcome
